Crafting Recipes
OK, so now that we’ve explained HOW to craft, let’s look at all of the different things that you can craft, OK? Crafting ingredients will be given further down.
Cheeses
The most fundamental part to crafting is making more cheeses! So let’s look at all of the different cheese and how you can make them!
White Cheddar- 1 Curds & Whey + 1 Salt = 1 piece
This is the most basic crafting recipe, and even an apprentice can make it!, (with a risk of course) White cheddar is one of the more unique cheeses in the game. It’s not particularly useful for most hunters because it only has the attraction rate of cheddar cheese. However, it is unique in that when you equip it, you will NOT encounter white, grey or brown mice at all. As a result, if you travel to the meadow, harbour or town of Gnawnia while using it, you attract a bunch of the other mice that are found in that area.
White Cheddar is a cheese best used with a strategy in mind. For example, a hunter who has a Swiss Army Mouse Trap, or even something as powerful as the Mouse Deathbot, can use the target base and hunt in the meadow or harbour and still catch most mice just fine, while the target base helps make the white cheddar more attractive to the mice. So if you want to catch a mole mouse, which is found in the meadow but is kind of hard to find, using white cheddar, a target base and a strong trap works rather well.
Just remember that as an apprentice, you can fail to craft it, so don’t be TOO eager to craft it.
Super|Brie+- 1 Curds & Whey + 1 Salt + 1 Magic Essence = 1 piece
Reconstitution Only_
Now, as you probably notice, magic essence is just smashed SB+ already, so you’re essentially wasting salt and C&W to remake your cheese. Only serves one purpose- if you smashed a piece of it and you wish that you had not done so. The right answer is to just not smash them!
Moon Cheese- 3 Curds & Whey + 2 Magic Essence + 1 Meteorite Piece = 1 piece
This cheese comes from the moon and is designed to attract werewolf mice (more properly called lycan mice). The Lycan mouse is a very hard mouse to catch, and upon catching it you receive a crucial map piece that allows you to continue through the game.
So if you’re getting frustrated trying to catch a lycan mouse, equip some moon cheese. As you can see, it requires using 2 pieces of SB+, so it’s a bit expensive, but if you really need to catch one, then it is worth the cost.
Maki- 3 Curds & Whey + 1 Nori + 3 Magic Essence = 3 pieces
Maki cheese is used in the Dojo of Furoma. It is designed to attract Dojo Student mice. With it equipped, you will encounter more students than you normally would have. Keep in mind that just because you encounter more students, does NOT mean that you will necessarily catch more. However, if you aren’t catching more students, that’s the fault of the trap, not the cheese!
Susheese- 3 Curds & Whey + 1 Nori + 1 Burroughs Salmon + 3 Token of the Cheese Claw = 3 pieces
Once you reach the meditation room, you will need special cheese to attract mice. The first of these is susheese. By crafting susheese you can attract the Master of the Cheese Claw to your trap.
Combat- 5 Curds & Whey + 1 Paint Brand Paint + 1 Splintered Wood + 3 Token of the Cheese Fang = 3 pieces
The second cheese used in the Meditation room is Combat. It attracts the Master of the Cheese Fang mouse.
___
Glutter- 7 Curds & Whey + 1 Invisi-Glue + 1 Cheesy Fluffs + 3 Token of the Cheese Belt = 3 pieces
Finally, Glutter cheese attracts the Master of the Cheese Belt in the Medidation Room.
___
Rumble- 20 Curds & Whey + 1 Ionized Salt + Masters Seal = 1 piece
*OR*
20 Curds & Whey + 1 Ionized Salt + 1 Master Belt Shard + 1 Master Claw Shard + 1 Master Fang Shard = 3 pieces
To catch the ultimate Furoma mouse, the Master of the Dojo, one needs an ultimate cheese, and that’s the rumble cheese. As you can see, there are two recipes. The only reason to ever use the 1-piece recipe is because it only requires that you be a master to safely craft it, while the other recipe requires you to be legendary to guarantee your success. As someone pointed out to me, though- “if the success rate is 50% anyway, then always go for the 3-piece recipe. Even if you fail half the time, you still get an average of 1.5 pieces per attempt instead of just 1.” Makes sense!
Ancient- 3 Stale Cheese + 6 Ionized Salt = 3 pieces
*OR*
3 Stale Cheese + 6 Ionized Salt + 3 Magic Essence = 6 pieces
Ancient Cheese is used to hunt in the Bristle Woods region. It is particularly useful in the Forgotten grove, as it attracts all of the mice that inhabit that area. Again, there are two recipes. However, the second recipe requires having SuperBrie+. So if you want to get more pieces of ancient cheese out of the stale cheese you’re collecting (which is recommended if you can afford to do it- collecting stale cheese is time consuming), then go ahead and use the 6-piece recipe. If you do not have SuperBrie+ and do not want to hssle getting it, then use the 3-piece recipe.
Runic- 1 Stale Cheese + 3 Ionized Salt + 1 Rune = 1 piece
_OR you can use this Formula_
1 Stale Cheese + 3 Ionized Salt + 1 Rune + 1 Magic Essence = 2 pieces
This cheese is used in the Acolyte Realm to catch the Strongest Bristlewood Mice. Again, by using Magic Essence made from smashed SuperBrie+, you can make twice the runic cheese from your other ingredients. However, you do not need to use SuperBrie+ if you don’t want to.
Shell- 30 Seashell + 60 curds and whey + 10 coconut milk + 40 salt = 15 pieces
Used to catch mice on the Elub Shore. You’ll collect seashells from the Elub Mice and then equip the shell cheese to lure a chieftain to your trap. Or, you can take it to Cape Clawed to search for the Elder Mouse and her Ancient Spear.
Crunchy- 30 Delicious Stone + 10 curds and whey + 20 coconut milk + 30 salt = 15 pieces
Used to catch mice in the Derr Dunes. You’ll collect stones from the mice within the Derr Dunes themselves and then equip the crunchy cheese to lure a chieftain to your trap. Or, you can take it to Cape Clawed to search for the Aged Mouse and his Rhino Horn.
Gumbo- 30 Savory Vegetables + 90 curds and whey + 15 coconut milk + 1 salt = 15 pieces
Used to catch mice on the Nerg Plains. You’ll collect your veggies from the lower-level Nerg mice and then equip the gumbo cheese to lure a chieftain to your trap. Or, you can take it to Cape Clawed to search for the Grandfather Mouse and his Thorned Vine.
Traps
Obviously one of the nice things about crafting is being able to build more traps! In order to craft a new trap, you must first find a set of blueprints to figure out what ingredients you need, then you can collect those ingredients to make your new trap
Dehydration Base - 1 Dehydration Base Blueprints + 4 Splintered Wood + 213 Salt
The blueprints can be purchased in the general store in the Harbour in Gnawnia.
The Dehydration Base offers high power, a luck bonus and “Insanely fresh” cheese to those who use it. Barring special bases that are obtained from Ronza, this ties with the explosive base as the best base that you can get.
Mutated Venus Mouse Trap -1 Venus Mouse Trap Husk + 20 Radioactive Sludge
By taking the mild-mannered Venus Mouse Trap and adding a bunch of radioactive sludge, we get a new tactical trap that’s even better than the regular one. It’s also even better than Zugzwang’s Last Move, which costs a lot more gold. Use this trap until you can get your ambush in Furoma- there’s nothing better available.
Ancient Spear Gun – 1 Launcher Parts + 1 Ancient Spear Launcher Blueprints + 1 Ancient Spear
The blueprints are purchased in the Cape Clawed general store.
A terrific Hydro trap (and very cool looking, to boot!) Acquired after capturing an Elder Mouse’s spear, this is the best hydro trap that currently exists and is ideal for hunting Elub chieftain mice.
Ambush Trap - 1 Ambush Trap Blueprints + 5 Splintered Wood + 8 Droid Parts + 3 Rice Paper + 1 Masters Seal
The blueprints are dropped by the assassin mouse, the worker mouse in the dojo or by the hapless mouse when caught in the pinnacle chamber or meditation room.
The Ambush trap boasts the best stats of any tactical trap for the Grandmaster hunter and is a must-have. However, as was mentioned earlier, be warned- at 5 ingredients, it is too much for a grandmaster to craft safely. If you choose to try anyway, you have been duly warned!
Obelisk of Slumber - 1 Obelisk Parts + 1 Bead of Slumber
No blueprints are needed to craft this trap, because the only time you would craft this trap is if you smashed your obelisk of slumber and then said “oops! I don’t want to smash it after all” and so you rebuild it. This is the most basic weapon for catching Forgotten Mice in the Bristlewoods Region.
Obelisk of Incineration – 1 Obelisk of Incineration Blueprints + 1 Obelisk Parts + 2 Scrap Metal + 1 Coal + 3 Splintered Wood
The blueprints are purchased in the general store in the catacombs
This obelisk is the opposite of the obelisk of slumber. It boasts a drop in attraction and in cheese freshness; in return, you obtain more power and more luck. Which is more valuable to you? Choose carefully, because at nearly 50,000 gold for the blueprints, it is not a decision that is cheap to change!
Arcane Capturing Rod of Never Yielding Mystery - 1 Mysterious Blueprints + 1 Obelisk Parts + 12 Scrap Metal + 1 Onyx Stone + 3 Magic Essence
Also Known as ACRONYM
These blueprints are purchased in the general store in the catacombs
Fun fact- the acronym for this trap is ACRoNYM
Anyway, this is the strongest arcane trap you can get, but given the cost, it’s no wonder! Nearly 1 million gold and 12 scrap metal. (This is an awesome Acane Weapon and it is currently the Best Arcane Trap there is)
Partybot - 1 Deathbot Parts + 1 Partyhat
For those of us who were lucky enough to get a partyhat, this trap is monstrous, ranking up with the DeathBot (Chrome Edition) _also Known as the ChromeBot_ and the Digby Drillbot as the best physical trap available. Silly though it looks, this is a trap well-worth considering if you have not picked between DeathBot and NVMRC just yet (Wait, Don't get your Hopes up, You still need the Party Hat!)
Rhinobot - 1 Digby Drillbot Parts + 1 Rhinobot Blueprints + 1 Rhino Horn + 24 Stale Super Brie+
The blueprints are purchased in the Cape Clawed general store.
A totally awesome physical trap, this boasts the highest power of any Physical trap up to date. You’ll be able to craft this after you’ve caught an Aged Mouse and Obtain the Rhino Horn, and it’s the only trap to nab the Derr mice effectively. (you can get stale Super Brie+ by arming super brie with ACRONYM w/ Explosive base in the Acolyte Realm)
Thorned Venus Mouse Trap – 1 Venus Mouse Trap Husk + 1 Thorned Mouse Trap Plans + 1 Thorned Vine
The blueprints are purchased in the Cape Clawed general store.
An even more powerful Venus Mouse trap provides an even better tactical trap for hunters than the Ambush trap. Catch a Grandfather with the Thorned Vine and you can transform your fly trap into this baby. (you get Radio Active Sludge when Radio Active Blue Cheese Turns Stale)
Horrific Venus Mouse Trap- 1 Thorned Venus Mouse Trap Husk + 20 Radioactive Sludge
Smash your Thorned Venus Mouse Trap as soon as you’ve got the required radioactive sludge so that you can rebuild it into the ultimate plant trap. The Horrific Venus Mouse Trap is the strongest tactical trap we have and is great for snatching up all the Nerg mice.(you get Radio Active Sludge when Radio Active Blue Cheese Turns Stale)
Misc
Masters Seal- 1 Master Claw Shard + 1 Master Fang Shard + 1 Master Belt Shard
This item is used in the crafting of Rumble cheese and of crafting the Ambush trap. No use beyond that, really.
_____
Ship- 1 Ship Blueprints + 1 King’s Reserve Bubbleh + 900 splintered wood + 100 rope + 70 bolt of cloth + 18 scrap metal
This is a very unique crafting item- it actually crafts a map, basically. It gives you access to the area of “SS Huntington II” in a new region called Rodentia.
It’s a recipe for heroes and up as you can see. However, there is a formula for the legendary users to use, too. It is as follows ;
Un-Christened ship 1 Ship Blueprints + 900 splintered wood + 100 rope + 70 bolt of cloth + 18 scrap metal
